Connie Vanderhyden has been working for the Office of Multicultural Student Services at UW-L since 2001. In 2006 she became the Director of the Academic Success Institute, a summer bridge program for a group of first generation and/or multicultural students. In addition she is the advisor for the Latino(a) Student Organization on campus (LASO) and peer tutoring coordinator. Connie’s role at OMSS is to teach, mentor, and support the ASI students, LASO students, and others seeking our services. She is very interested in promoting diversity on the UWL campus and strives to inform, encourage and assist students to be successful in their college careers. Connie received a B.A. and Wisconsin Teaching License from Lawrence University and recently completed her Master’s in Education-Professional Development degree at UW-L.
