Coordinator, Pre-College Programs; Academic Year and Summer Session; Department of Public Instruction Scholarships; Community Liaison with Local Educational Institutions and Local Communities; Advisor/Counselor; Grant Writing

Dr. Edward B. Reese, Jr., (Ned), has been employed at UW-La Crosse since 1984. Prior experience includes Assistant Director, UW-L Upward Bound Program, Office of Minority Affairs, and currently Office of Multicultural Student Services, Coordinator of M/D (minority/disadvantaged) Pre-College Programs.

Dr. Reese holds a doctoral degree - Human Development Counseling, George Peabody Teachers’ College, Vanderbilt University. His undergraduate degree is in mathematics from Tulane University.

Dr. Reese and has served as liaison for UW-L to the Wisconsin Department of Instruction Pre-College Scholarship Program and targeted pre-college programs within the UW-System Office of Academic Diversity since 1996. He has taught introductory classes in Racial and Ethnic Studies at UW-L and local high schools for the past seventeen years. His interests include: service learning, inter-cultural relationships, mentoring, storytelling, traditional Indigenous spirituality, healthy/holistic life styles, and cross-cultural and cross-generational educational programs.

Dr. Reese has participated in Lakota/Dakota community and spiritual life.
