Sponsored by the UW-L School of Education and the Murphy Library Endowment Fund, the multicultural children's literature programs introduce the multicultural resources of Murphy Library and highlight its multicultural children's book collections to education students as well as teachers and librarians from school districts in the Coulee Region.
These programs are a unique hands-on experience. Participants can browse through the award-winning books on display, interact with the speaker, and network with other area teachers, librarians, and other educators. Bibliographies of recommended sources by the speaker are available on the day of the event or electronically.

The library offers fast, no-registration tours for students, faculty, and staff during the first week of the semester.
Tours start in the library lobby at 12:00 noon every day of opening week, September 2, 3, 4, and 5.
The tours last about 20 minutes and cover the basic layout of the library, useful services, library collections, and tips to effectively use the library. Everyone is welcome to participate in these informal tours.
