Murphy Library Special Collections. Open to all.
- Author Website: Provides a record of publications
along with book and author descriptions.
- Library Display: Display case featuring books from the
reception.
Call to Participate
Five-year Window - Books published in 2009 - 2013
If you are a current or former UW-L faculty or staff and have authored, co-authored, compiled,
edited/co-edited, translated, or illustrated a monograph that
was published in the past 5 years (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), we would love to
highlight you and your book in our first celebration!
Submission Deadline: December 10, 2012
Please let us know if you and/or your book plan to
participate by November 30, 2012.
Author Requirements
- Please provide the library with one
copy of your published book. The book will be returned to
you after the event, unless you wish to donate the copy to
the library. If the library already has a copy of your book,
we still appreciate having another copy just for the Celebration.
Please identify your book as being for the Celebration of
Campus Authors and drop it off at the library circulation
desk, or send via campus mail to Stefan Smith, Murphy
Library Room 123.
- Please attend the reception. It is not required for
authors to be present during the reception, but we ask that
participants make every effort to be there. The Celebration
reception centers on giving faculty and staff an opportunity
to acquaint themselves with each other’s works, to exchange
ideas, and to discuss publishing experiences, so we are
seeking broad participation.
