 Multicultural Children's Literature Programs.
Sponsored by the UW-L School of Education and the Murphy
Library Endowment Fund, these programs introduce the
curriculum resources of Murphy Library and highlight its
children’s book collections to education students as
well as teachers and librarians from school districts in
the Coulee Region.
STEMSS Teacher Resource Days. A
collaboration among a group of UW-L content faculty,
teacher education faculty, and Murphy library staff,
these programs give participants a chance both to peruse
the latest quality, non-fiction science, technology,
engineering, math and social studies (STEMSS) trade books, DVD’s, etc. and to explore the UW-L STEMSS
website, which provides supporting materials.
Murphy Awards. The last two Murphy
Award recipients were honored, in great part, for their
substantial involvement with the Alice Hagar Curriculum
Center. The Curriculum Center and all those who come in
contact with it have benefitted greatly from the work of
