BIOGRAPHY:
Tammy Fisher is the Director of the Screaming Eagles Marching Band, instructor of Instrumental music education courses and Percussion. She also serves as the supervisor of student teachers. Ms. Fisher comes to UW-L from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro where she obtained her Ph. D. in Music Education. While at UNCG, Fisher served as conductor of the Symphonic Band, instructor of percussion methods, and supervisor of student teachers. Fisher is a native of Pennsylvania, receiving an undergraduate degree at Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She taught instrumental music in the public schools of Pennsylvania for eleven years. In addition, she served as a percussionist with the 553rd Air National Guard Band in Harrisburg PA for nine years. Ms. Fisher maintains membership in professional organizations such as CBDNA, MENC, Women Band Directors International, and Percussive Arts Society.
