*Applicants to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program with credentials from outside the U.S. must also submit a professional credential evaluation from the Educational Credential Evaluators (www.ece.org) or World Education Services (www.wes.org).

  • English Proficiency: In order to fulfill the English proficiency requirement, you must submit an official TOEFL score of at least 79 iBT or 550 pBT; OR an official IELTS score of at least 6.0. UW-La Crosse’s institutional code is 1914.
    • Applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree from an English-speaking country may be exempt from the TOEFL requirement.
  • Program Specific Requirements: Some graduate programs may require additional information. Please contact your intended graduate program directly to inquire about any additional requirements they might have. Official GRE or GMAT (for the MBA program) scores are required by some graduate programs.  You can find a list of the graduate programs offered at UW-L and links to their websites here: http://www.uwlax.edu/graduate/gradprograms.htm.
  • Complete and submit a Financial Certification Form with supporting bank statement.  Students seeking an F-1 visa are required to provide proof of funding for at least one year of study.  If you are admitted, these documents will be required in order for us to issue an I-20.  The minimum available amount that must be shown for graduate students is $28,546.

The Office of International Education offers limited merit-based scholarships to new international students with outstanding records.  More information may be found on the application form at: http://www.uwlax.edu/oie/IA/Forms/scholarship.pdf.

REMINDER:  It is the student's responsibility to reserve/secure campus housing if admitted to UW-La Crosse.  The Housing Reservation Form is available on-line.  First semester incoming students will not be required to pay the $75 reservation fee.  Those students returning to campus should communicate with the Office of Residence Life in order to reserve/secure housing.
