Peer mentors can be a great resource when you are trying to decide on one of the many study abroad experiences. If you are uncertain about whether you want to do a home stay or live in an apartment, we have peer mentors who are done both. If you are also questioning if you should go for a semester or year, we have peer mentors who can give you insight into making a decision. Our peer mentors have been there, done that so they can help you clarify your goals and select the best program for you!
Check out the blog that they have created that offers insight into different hot topics and questions that students typically ask. Feel free to leave comments and questions!
Not only do our peer mentors sit in the office, but they want to get out and interact with students! Our peer mentors are available to do presentations to student organizations, classrooms, or residence halls. Just contact the peer mentors at samentor@uwlax.edu. Please give a few times and dates that would work best for your group and we will try to find a peer mentor who is available.
