A Novel Approach to Ranking Physician Assistant Programs

The Journal of Physician Assistant Education (2010, Vol. 21, No. 4) conducted a study to present a new approach to ranking PA programs. Programs were ranked based on the following:
- Current ARC-PA accreditation length
- Student-faculty ratio
- Percentage of faculty with doctoral degrees
- Most recent 5 year average PANCE pass rates
The results revealed that the UW-L PA Program ranks first in the nation.

The program was granted full accreditation for seven years-the maximum allowed by the ARC-PA. The program will next go up for review in 2017.
