Welcome to the SIS Project!
The Student Information System (SIS) Project is a common systems project, partially funded by the University of Wisconsin System. UW-La Crosse will be transitioning from its current legacy system to the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions environment. The new software will provide students, faculty, and staff with access to information related to recruiting and admissions, records and registration, financial aid, student financials, and enhanced self-service capabilities.
Initial planning for the project began in May of 2007. CIBER Enterprise Solutions has been hired as the implementation partner to assist the campus and work began in January 2008. A phased implementation is planned to coincide with normal business processes/cycles; full implementation is to be completed by Fall of 2009.
UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stout are also implementing PeopleSoft Campus Solutions at the same time as UW-La Crosse. The campuses have been working together on planning and training and will continue to do so as we move forward with our implementation. This collaborative effort will provide cost savings, sharing of potential business solutions and best practices, and knowledge transfer among functional and technical staff. Nine (9) other UW System campuses have already implemented PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. In addition, PeopleSoft Shared Financials has been up and running at UW-La Crosse since 2006 and plans are underway for the entire UW System to also implement PeopleSoft Human Resources in the future.
