"I have been at UWL since 2000 and have been involved in campus LGBTQ issues. I'd be happy to mentor LGBTQ students and allies in senior theses, capstone course projects, mentoring, and/or undergraduate research projects. My research focuses on nineteenth-century elite Mexican masculinity, homosocial spaces and practices, consumption, and homosexual cultures. I teach courses in Latin American, Mexican, and U.S. Latina/o history, including the new "HIS 360: History of Women, Gender, and Sexuality in Latin America." My partner and I are bibliophiles, enjoy period films, documentaries, cooking, and travel, and are involved in campus equity, inclusivity, social justice, education, and diversity issues."
