ACADEMIC POLICIES

Graduate students should read the University Graduate Catalog thoroughly for information pertaining to requirements for graduate studies and specific programs. Not all policies are applicable to undergraduate and graduate students alike.
Please refer to the catalog for specific policy information.
For example:

1.       A course is successfully completed if a grade of “C” (or better) or “P” is earned.

2.       Repetition of graduate courses is not allowed.

3.       Students who have completed all degree requirements except the capstone experience must register for GRC 799 (0 credits) each semester and summer until it is finished.  This semester’s fee is $235.

DROP/ADD

Graduate students who wish to drop/add classes prior to the start of the term may do so using the TALON system anytime after their initial registration.  Please see page 7 of this timetable for instructions.  After Friday, January 27, graduates need the instructor's signature to drop/add a course. Please bring the signed drop/add form to the Office of Records and Registration, 117 Graff Main Hall. See the graduate catalog for other academic policies and start-up information.

TEXTBOOKS

Graduate students are required to purchase textbooks for all courses that are for graduate students only (all 700 level and selected others). Students enrolled in slash courses (graduate/undergraduate) or undergraduate courses may be able to rent textbooks for a fee of $8.25 per credit. This rental fee must be paid at Textbook Service before checking out textbooks.
