UW-L's eleven residence halls are conveniently located within easy
walking distance to the campus' academic, administrative and athletic
facilities. While each of the halls offer traditional-style communal
living spaces, they also feature distinct atmospheres and unique amenities.
Regardless of which hall you choose to live in, you will be part of
a welcoming, active environment that supports a balance of academic
success and social opportunities. Welcome home!
Room Dimensions, Contents and Features
Double Rooms
The majority of student rooms at UW-L accommodate two people, and are laid out in a similar fashion to the diagram on the right (dimensions
may vary
slightly by hall). Each double room is approximately 15' 6" long
by 11' 6" wide by 8' high. Rooms are furnished with a desk, chair,
bed, dresser and closet (2' 2" deep by 3' 6" wide by 7' 6"
high) for each resident, in addition to a small refrigerator shared
by both occupants. All rooms have cable and telephone hook-ups, for
which residents will need to bring their own televisions and telephones.
Rooms in all halls are also equipped with direct Internet connections
(for more information, click on the Information Services link on the
left menu, and choose ResNet).
Triple Rooms
Angell, Coate, Drake and Hutchison Halls feature a limited number of
rooms that accommodate three residents, as shown by the diagram at right.
Triple rooms are approximately 20' long by 10' 8" wide by 8' high,
and are furnished with a desk, chair, bed, dresser and closet for each
resident, in addition to two small refrigerators shared by all three
occupants. Triple rooms have cable and telephone hook-ups, for which
residents will need to bring their own televisions and telephones. All
triple rooms are also equipped with direct Internet connections (for
