Future Search Background

A Future Conference was developed from these meetings and exercises. From January 23-25, nearly 130 members of the UW-La Crosse community gathered at the Cleary Friends & Alumni Center for a “Future Search Conference”.

The purpose of this conference was to create a base for a new strategic plan for our University. As a community, we explored three fundamental questions: Who are we? What do we value? And where do we wish to go? These three questions are the starting point for creating an inclusive community of learning and inquiry.

As an outgrowth of this Future Conference and numerous committee meetings, a draft Strategic Planning Document was created and is now ready for your consideration. In addition a series of Town Hall meetings will be held for to obtain more feedback.
