Summer 2011 Feature Articles

UWL TESOL intern Lindsey Goff kept a photo journal of her summer mission trip teaching English in Guatemala. She writes, "It's hard to put into words exactly what I did, what I learned, and what I saw while in Guatemala. I think pictures speak louder than words, so here are a few to enjoy...Although these pictures are nowhere near the beauty of actually being in Guatemala, I hope you can get a small glimpse into what I experienced these past two months."

UWL student Maria Reuters writes about her TESOL internship, "Before January 2011, I had no experience with TESOL, and I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I declared a minor in this field. Little did I know, I was about to fall in love with TESOL after working in a Waukesha school with a girl named Xue Ting, from China."

The UW-L TESOL program is part of the Department of Modern Languages.
