Alcohol Skills

Students will participate in hands-on activities focused on alcohol safety and harm reduction techniques. This program is facilitated in a drop-in format and features trivia, our "Pour a Drink" activity, and free resources.

GAMMA

Used to educate and engage UWL's Fraternity and Sorority Life students, GAMMA is designed to provide students with basic alcohol education, opportunities for reflection on their own drinking behaviors, and information about bystander intervention. Students demonstrate what they've learned by responding to several scenarios. This program is best suited for organized student groups (i.e. athletic teams, greek life, organizations, etc.) and does not work well in a drop-in format.

Mental Health 101

We will educate students on the prevalence of mental health concerns among college students, signs of burnout and stress, how to find help for themselves or a friend, setting boundaries, self-care, and campus resources for mental health care. This program is facilitated with a PowerPoint and engaging discussion questions, and does not work well in a drop-in format.

Stress Management

This program is similar to Mental Health 101, with a heavier focus on activities that we can do to help reduce our stress, both short- and long-term. This presentation has an underlying theme of self care and does not work well in a drop-in format.

Reset Your Mindset

Peer Health Advocates will present information and facilitate activities related to the practice of mindfulness.

Mental Health Bingo

Students have the opportunity to win prizes while testing their mental health knowledge during this trivia style bingo game.

Portable Zen Dens

We will educate students on contemplative practices and exercises to reduce stress and encourage mindfulness. This program includes guided activities such as Buddha Boards, mandala coloring, guided meditation, journaling exercises, and more. This program is facilitated in a drop-in format.

FREE Sexual Health Supplies

Students can request FREE sexual health supplies from Wellness & Health Advocacy from September through May. You can request condoms, internal condoms, lube, and dental dams, and we try our best to meet your needs. Request free sexual health supplies here and when your order is ready, you will receive an email with pickup instructions.

Condom Bingo

We will educate students about proper use of contraception to prevent pregnancy and STI contraction; types of STIs/STDs; healthy relationships, consent, and communication; and human biology. This program encompasses a wide variety of both sexual health and violence prevention topics. It is fun, engaging, and a great way to get students involved in an educational program!

Pizza and Consent

We will educate students on active consent through the metaphor of creating and sharing a pizza together. Please note that the program requestor will need to supply pizza (typically ordered from ChartWells). This program is facilitated with a PowerPoint and does not work as well in a drop-in format.

CBD, Cannabis, and Vaping Jeopardy

We will educate students on CBD products, cannabis, and vaping/e-cigarettes during this Jeopardy-style program.

Guide to Mindful and Intuitive Eating

This program highlights the philosophy and practice of mindful eating. It is facilitated with a PowerPoint and does not work well in a drop-in format.

Bystander Intervention

With assistance from the Violence Prevention staff, we will educate students about barriers to being an active bystander and the steps of bystander intervention. This program includes an opportunity for students to practice their new skills and work through several scenarios together. This program is facilitated in a lecture style and does not work as well in a drop-in format.

Consent is Key

This program is a collaborative exploration of all things consent! Students will anonymously contribute their ideas to several discussion questions related to defining, obtaining, and identifying consent. This program does not work as well in a drop-in format.

Condom Bingo

We will educate students about proper use of contraception to prevent pregnancy and STI contraction; types of STIs/STDs; healthy relationships, consent, and communication; and human biology.
