Reminders
-
Overall, Americans are not very physically active.
We sit a lot and spend hours in front of
televisions, video games and computers. In addition,
studies show that people often eat when they are in
front of the screen. To maintain a healthy weight,
being physically active is just as important as
eating right. Physical activity provides numerous
benefits from burning off calories to making you
feel energetic, reducing stress and building
strength and endurance. The Dietary Guidelines
for Americans recommend that children get 60
minutes of physical activity each day-which sounds
like a lot. But, We Can!
do it.
