About the Library

  • Using family time, parents and siblings can come together in a way to improve developmental physical skill level and coordination.  The Equipment Lending Library sponsored by University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Special Populations program and the "Active and Healthy Lifestyles for Children and Youth with Disabilities" grant, provides special developmental adapted physical education equipment to children and families with special needs.

  • Why Family Time?  Family bonding is a special time.  Taking an extra hour out of a day to play really makes a difference in a child's life.  This lending library is here to assist you and give you that extra time that is needed with your children at no extra cost.  Individuals are available to assist you in proper use of the equipment upon checkout through the lending library.

  • Who do we Serve?  The Equipment Lending Library serves children with disabilities, ages 5-18.

  • Pass the Word:  Anyone can make a referral to the Equipment Lending Library including parents, educators, physicians, community agencies, friends, etc.  Our goal is to assist to families to become more active with their children.
