Admitted Transfer Students
If you have been admitted to the University as a transfer student, congratulations! We hope that you will find UW-La Crosse to be the perfect fit for you as you work to complete your college education. For additional information regarding your admission and important next steps to take click here.
As an admitted transfer student, your next step is to submit your $100 enrollment deposit to reserve your place in our transfer class and to have your credits evaluated for transfer. When your enrollment deposit is received, we will complete an official credit evaluation, notify you via e-mail when that evaluation is complete, and direct you to your WINGS Student Center where you can view your transfer credit report. See the Transfer Credit Report narrative for assistance in understanding your transfer credit report.
Please click the following links for information about the UW System Placement Examinations in English, mathematics and Spanish.
Registration and academic advising information, including the web registration checklist, e-mail information, and official course catalog will be sent in April for those students admitted to the summer session and fall semester, and in November for those students admitted to the spring semester.
Transfer orientation is held in September for summer and fall transfer students and in January for winter intercession and spring transfer students. This is an opportunity for transfer students to learn about the UW-L offices and services available to help them be successful on our campus. Transfer students will be sent a letter inviting them to the orientation program.
For incoming College of Liberal Studies students, please view the Transfer Student Academic Orientation media presentation found here.
For incoming College of Science and Health students, please view the three-part Transfer Student Academic Orientation listed under the "Transfer Information" category here.
