UW-La Crosse encourages connections between our campus and the international community:

Over 400 international students represent 45 countries among our student community, resulting in the largest international program among Wisconsin's comprehensive public universities.

UW-L has international student exchange partnerships with 21 universities worldwide.

Nearly 20 percent of UW-L students participated in study abroad programs last year, placing us in the top 30 for campuses nationwide for proportion of our students who study abroad.

The university provides undergraduate research grants for students, and the Student Association supports international research, study abroad and international student scholarships.

UW-L is one of the few comprehensive universities in the United States that has an international internship program open to students of all majors.

In 2001, UW-L was recognized by the American Council on Education as one of the leading comprehensive universities in international education in the United States.
