FRESHMAN REGISTRATION AND FAMILY ORIENTATION

Is there a class that might help me adjust to college life?

As a matter a fact, there is!  It’s called UWL 100:  The First Year Student Seminar.  It is a one credit course and meets once a week for the first ten weeks of the semester. Its purpose is to enhance the academic and social integration of new students into the university community.  And it’s fun too!   Some sections of UWL 100 are linked to another General Education course which allows you to get to know a group of about 25 students really well and increases the likelihood that students feel connected to the University.  Think you don’t need it?  The majority of students that take the course highly recommend it to new freshmen.
