Total Points Needed from the Departments: 66
*Sisters meeting the point requirements will be rewarded. *Top 5 Sisters with the most points will be rewarded.
At the beginning of the semester the chapter will decide what a good plan of action is when an individual does not meet the point requirement in a certain department.
If a Sister is severely lacking I would advise they meet with MDC then a J-Board if their actions do not change.
VPs may approve unforeseen point opportunities with the chapter as the semester progresses.
If sisters are excused from an event and therefore are unable to reach the required point amount in that department they can talk to that VP in advance in order to make up the points in other areas of that department or by helping out the VP prior to an event/in general.
If a sister loses points in the President, VPCO, Panhel or Other area they may make it up from any department, as long as their point minimums are met in that department.
Example of how this works: If you meet the 66 point minimum but have been unexcused for one meeting your point total will drop down to 53 automatically. Therefore, you need to do something or several things extra to regain those 13 points (can be from any department). For example: attend a recruitment event, a sisterhood, a campus close-up, and a CR dinner.
*Scholarship, Philanthropy hours, and Health/Wellness points do not count to make up point losses unless approved by the VP for an EXCUSED absence because they will have their own requirements.
There is a possibility for somewhere around 50-65 extra points simply from calendar events.
Newly Initiated members do not have a point minimum.
This new system should provide flexibility for everyone. You can pick and choose what you would like to do, when it works for you. Every Sunday I will pass around a binder with sign up sheets for each event. Everyone will then be held accountable if they say they will be in attendance. (So be sure to bring your planners on Sunday!!) Each sheet will list the event, time, date, department, and point worth. Certain events require more girls, such as Meet the Chapter or Clean the Highway… therefore, if enough people do not sign up the VP would ask for more volunteers. Otherwise, even if you do not sign up you can still attend an event last minute. But do not sign up and then ditch out, you will lose points. Thank you so much for your cooperation. Hopefully things are more fun and highly attended. You are not forced to go to anything, you are free to choose and will help in the discipline process if necessary. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
