A candle loses
nothing by lighting another candle. Philanthropy (our charity & community service events) is one of the most important aspects of Alpha Phi. Our members participate year round in several philanthropy events. Philanthropy is an excellent opportunity for us to grow as people and give back to the community.
Bounce For Beats is our biggest philanthropy event. For 12 hours we manage to bounce on a trampoline to raise money for the Alpha Phi Foundation to provide funding for cardiac care and research, scholarships for undergraduate and graduate members, leadership training and development, the emergency aid assistance program, and the Forget-Me-Not assistance program. Raising money for cardiac care research has been such a major theme in Alpha Phi for so many years because heart disease is the #1 killer in woman.
