UW-L offers a variety of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Programs and Services. Alcohol and Drug Abuse staff are located in the Counseling and Testing Center: 112 Wilder Hall, 785-8073.

ALCOHOL PREVENTION AND EDUCATION AND SERVICES:
- Reach and Share Peer Education Program: Students are trained to present programs on alcohol-related topics including sexual violence & harassment, sexuality, sexually transmitted diseases and relationship issues. Contact Diane Fitzpatrick Sasaki, 785-8977. http://www.uwlax.edu/ReachShare
- Awake and Alive Get Smart: An alcohol education group that challenges students to explore their use of chemicals and provides them with skills to reduce health and safety risks associated with chemical use. Contact Jeannie Hanley, 785-8073 http://www.uwlax.edu/counseling/htm/awake.htm
- AODA-V prevention programs and resources, workshops, classroom or group presentations: Our staff is available to assist with class projects, outreach presentations, resources for alcohol, drug, and violence-related topics. Contact Mary, Jeannie or Diane.
- Project 21: Students are sent birthday cards on their 21st birthdays that provide safe ways to celebrate without alcohol. Sponsored by the SCAN committee and UW-L, Viterbo, WWTC
- Counseling and Testing Resources: Students or Staff who are concerned about their own or a friend’s alcohol or drug use, have several services available to them through the Counseling and Testing Center. Services are available free of charge to currently enrolled UW-L students.
