UW-L Finishes Fifth at Pointer Last Chance Qualifier

Stevens Point, Wis. – The UW-La Crosse men’s track & field team finished fifth out of 19 teams at the Pointer Last Chance Qualifier at UW-Stevens Point Saturday afternoon. The Eagles totaled 51.5 team points.
UW-L captured the 4x400-meter relay (3:16.66) and had five of the top-eight finishers in the 400-meter dash. Jon Doble was second in the 400-meter dash (49.31) while Alex Rooker was fourth (49.75), Dylan Randolph fifth (49.86), Cole Lambert seventh (50.14) and Ryan Mendez eighth (50.25).
The Eagles' Jamar Jackson placed fifth in the 55-meter hurdles (7.86) while Dan Rendler was ninth in the 800-meter run (1:58.36).l
In field events, Bobby Riley finished second on the shot put (51-10) while Bill Warren was fourth (50-0 1/2) and Donovan Winter eighth (43-8 1/2). UW-L's Jeremiah Burish tied for sixth on the pole vault (14-6 3/4).
In the weight throw, Aaron Johnson was ninth (50-6 1/4) while Andrew Brueggen placed 10th (50-5 1/2).
UW-L returns to action Friday, March 14 at the NCAA III Indoor Championships in Ada, Ohio.
