Stats Named WIAC Runner of the Week

Madison, Wis. – UW-La Crosse freshman Megan Stats of Stevens Point (H.S.) has been selected the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Stats captured the individual title at the Lake Wissota Invitational Oct. 23 to lead UW-La Crosse to a second-place finish. She won the crown with a time of 19:43 on the 5,000-meter course.

A total of 58 runners competed.

UW-L returns to action Saturday, Oct. 31 at the WIAC Championships in Whitewater, Wis.
