UW-L Fiinishes Fourth at Griak Invite; Dugan Top Finisher

Minneapolis, Minn. The UW-La Crosse womens cross country team finished fourth at the Roy Griak Maroon Division III Invitational Saturday morning at Les Bolstad Golf Course at the University of Minnesota. The Eagles finished with 165.0 team points. Washington University (Mo.) took the team title with 89.0 points while UW-Platteville was second (117.0) and UW-Eau Claire third (128.0). St. Olaf College (Minn.) rounded-out the top-five (195.0).
A total of 42 teams competed.
Individually, Meghan Dugan was UW-L's top finisher, placing 22nd overall with a time of 23:40.15 on the 6,000-meter course. UW-River Falls' Becca Jordahl took the individual title with a time of 22:01.55. Katelyn Williams was 23rd (23:44.65) for the Eagles.
Megan Johnson placed 29th (23:58.70) for the Eagles while Kristen Howe was 35th (24:04.15), Erin Farley finished 56th (24:27.30) and Jenna Gerten was 59th (24:31.55).
Other finishers in the top-125 for UW-L included: Lauren Moss 70th (24:36.55), Zoe Browne 71st (24:38.10), Rachel Boldt 91st (24:53.20), Emily Watson 105th (24:59.85), Alison Kolinski 109th (25:01.90), Kristina Bennwitz 115th (25:04.65) and Whitney Nefstead 122nd (25:10.40).
