UW-L Defeats UW-Oshkosh in Dual; Hooper Wins Three Events

Oshkosh, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics squad earned a 183.150 to 177.000 dual victory at UW-Oshkosh Friday night in Kolf Sports Center.

The Eagles' Gabi Hooper captured three events Friday night as she finished first in the vault (9.700), balance beam (9.350) and floor exercise (9.625).

UW-L's Kasey Clausen took the uneven parallel bars (9.450).

Jackie LaFleur was second in the all-around for the Eagles (36.600). She placed second on the vault (9.500) and uneven parallel bars (9.000) while finishing fifth on the balance beam (8.825) and sixth on the floor exercise (9.275).

The Eagles' Erin Sommer was third in the all-around (35.175) while also placing third on the vault (9.475) and fifth on the floor exercise (9.300).

Other top finishers included Mackenzie Howard placing third on the uneven parallel bars (8.950) and fourth on the floor exercise (9.325). The Eagles' Kelsey Matula was second on the balance beam (9.200) while Schaelyn McFadden finished fourth on the uneven parallel bars (8.900).
