UW-L Falls at UW-Whitewater in Dual; Howard Wins Two Events

Whitewater, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics squad fell 184.425 to 181.725 at UW-Whitewater Friday night in Williams Center.

The Eagles' Mackenzie Howard won two events Friday night. She captured the floor exercise with a score of 9.575 while tying for first on the balance beam with teammate Erin Sommer at 9.575.

Along with tying for first on the beam, Sommer placed fourth in the all-around (36.425) and fifth in the floor exercise (9.400).

UW-L's Gabi Hooper won the vault (9.650) while finishing fifth on the balance beam (9.275).

Jackie LaFleur was third in the all-around (36.500) and on the vault (9.450).

On the uneven parallel bars, Schaelyn McFadden finished second (9.075) while Kasey Clausen was fourth (8.900).

UW-L returns to action Friday, February 15 at the UW-Stout Triangular.
