UW-L Defeats Wisconsin Lutheran to Finish Regular Season

La Crosse, Wis. The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team, tied for 17th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) rankings, earned a 3-0 (30-15, 30-17, 30-12) victory over Wisconsin Lutheran College Saturday afternoon in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles improve to 22-8 in their final regular-season match of the year while the Warriors fall to 8-19.
The Eagles now led the all-time series, 3-0, with Wisconsin Lutheran.
Katelyn Carlson led UW-L with 10 kills and 16 digs in Saturday's win while Amber Schoonover, Nina Walch and Brianne Stankus each had eight kills for the Eagles. Samantha Dries had 38 assists for UW-L.
Walch also finished with eight digs. Schoonover and Dries each totaled seven digs.
UW-L hit .343 as a team, including .471 in the third game with 18 kills and two errors in 34 attempts.
UW-L returns to action Tuesday, October 30 hosting UW-Stevens Point in the WIAC Tournament Quarterfinals at 7 p.m.
