Bio 313 labs are offered
Thursday 9:55-11:55 (Hoar), 12:05-2:05 (Tyser) & 2:15-4:15 (Hoar) and
Friday 7:45-9:45 (Tyser), 9:55-11:55 (Hoar), 12:05-2:05 (Hoar).
You are responsible for any
material covered in the lab manual and on model keys with emphasis on those terms
in bold face in the lab manual.
Each of the three lab exams will consist of short answer/fill in the
blank type questions worth 1 point each.
In addition, there will be five pop quizzes during the semester covering that dayís lab unit(s). Each pop
quiz will be worth 3 points ñ all of which are added to your lecture
score. Your total lab points (115 possible) will be added to your lecture
points. Spelling is very important in anatomy; therefore, one/half point will
be deducted for each misspelled word.
TEXT:
- Fundamentals of Anatomy
& Physiology
(7th edition) by F. H. Martini - this lecture text is a helpful
reference book and study guide for lab.
- Lab Manual (Human Anatomy & Physiology II) ñmust be purchased from the UW-L bookstore prior to attending first lab session.
- Suggested Atlas: A Photographic Atlas for the Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory, Van De Graaff and Crawley (can be purchased at the campus bookstore).
Open Lab: The lab will be open for review Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30 to 10:00PM and Thursday from 4:30 to 10:00. No instructor is available at this time. There are no open labs during the first week of classes or during exam weeks.
Open Lab Reminder: Clean up after yourself and replace models, slides, etc. to their proper places. If the lab is not cleaned up, or if anything disappears, during these open labs, the lab will no longer be open.
