Lisa Margonelli (lecture - Oil on the Brain)

A graduate of Yale University, Lisa Margonelli is an extremely accomplished writer. Her book, Oil On the Brain: Petroleum’s Long Strange Trip to Your Tank, was recognized as one of the 25 notable books of 2007 by the American Library Association. This book also won a 2008 Northern California Book Award for general nonfiction. She has been published in New York Times online, Washington Post, LA Times, SF Chronicle, Wired, Discover, Business 2.0, and SF Magazine. Currently, Lisa’s work includes a look at new technology and its effects on the post-oil world as well as the possible complications of alternative fuels.
