Updates
Fall Semester Updates/Announcements- Our last Chem Club meeting was on Oct. 11. The 4th floor of Cowley Hall was decorated with a Halloween theme - pizza and refreshments were served. Check out everyone's great work next time you are in Cowley!
- Our first Chem Club meeting of the semester was held on Sept. 27. We had a great turnout, ate some tasty liquid nitrogen ice cream, and are looking forward to an active year! At the meeting, we discussed some of the activities we'd like to participate in this year. Currently, we're planning to take a field trip to an as-yet-undetermined lab in Chicago (please contact See Yang if you're willing to help), starting to think about a friendly competition with the Bio Club (send an email to Dhara Patel if you're willing to help), and are contemplating an event with the profs for later this year.
- Can't get enough of a chemistry fix through Chem Club and your chemistry classes? Consider becoming an ACS student affiliate. Dues are only $46.00 per year (even less if you don't want a weekly subscription to Chemical & Engineering News). This is a great deal -- dues for "regular" members are ~$150! Click here to join.
- Check back here for updates as the semester goes on. Also, take a peek at the chemistry display on the first floor of Cowley. It includes a little slideshow that will introduce you to the Chemistry Department faculty, along with the different areas of chemical research that they carry out.
