Spring brings many changes.

When Spring Comes  by Robert Maass

“Spring is Here”

We will take a buggy ride to look for signs of spring and visit our tree to see if there are any changes.  We’ll also make a list of what we saw.


The weather changes in spring.

We will use a parachute to act out how the weather changes from winter to spring.


It often rains a lot in spring.

We will dance on bubble wrap to music to represent the sound of rain.


Some flowers grow from seeds.

We will plant flower seeds in cups.


Spring can be windy.

We will use a fan to see what objects wind can blow.  We will blow pinwheels.

Changes to the Environment

The dramatic play area will feature a flower shop.  We will make some contact paper collages for art  and for sensory play we will use garden tools in some soil.  We will work with Legos for construction play.  For small motor play we will lace flower necklaces and for large motor play we’ll do some puddle jumping and play “Ring Around the Puddle.”

We will try to fly a kite if there is a windy day.
