Camp Store |
The camp store provides participants with opportunities to shop and compare a variety of clown arts merchandise. Everything from makeup and costuming to clown props, balloons, juggling supplies, and art and collectibles is traditionally available. The camp store is never open at times when classes are being conducted. However, ample time is provided for browsing and making selections and purchases. Here is an excellent place to actually see merchandise you've heard about or seen in advertisements.
The camp store is always open the entire first afternoon of camp. This is at the same time, and place that on-site registration takes place. This is a good time to meet new and old friends, but also to get some ideas of purchase you intend to make.
Vendors in the camp store are staff members or participants wishing to display and sell merchandise that would be appropriate for clowns. While space is somewhat limited, we seldom have to turn someone away. Persons not affiliated with the program are not permitted to conduct sales in the camp store. If you are interested in learning more about renting space in the camp store, please contact the director for fulldetails. (There is a $150.00 table rental fee charged to all vendors.) |

Senior Citizen Ice Cream Social
Just across the street from UW-L’s Allied Health building, is a La Crosse Housing Authority senior citizen high-rise apartment building. On an annual basis, Clown Camp has taken a small group of visiting clowns to this facility to share laughter and fun at their early summer Ice Cream Social. Residents invite grandchildren and other loved ones to come and spend some time with them, and the visiting clowns. This year will be no exception, as we again march a band of merry makers to the Forest Park facility. |
