The student-run Coulee Region Humane Society Telethon, which began in 1999, is produced by WMCM-TV, in conjunction with Charter Communications. The telethon is aired LIVE on KQEG/UPN channel 23 and on Charter Communications channel 10. During the years, over $15,660 in cash and supplies have been raised.
Telethon guests have included area veterinarians, pets adopted from the society, pet therapists,
dog trainers, and members of the La Crosse and surrounding community.
