Instructors completing this course (in addition to meeting other requirements for teaching ENG 110 at UW-L) will be eligible to teach a dual credit section of ENG 110 at their high school.
Enrolling in this course does not obligate you to teach a dual credit section of ENG 110 in your high school, but we hope to provide this opportunity to many of our high schools!

Course Description
This class will cover composition pedagogy (including the art of teaching writing rhetorically), rhetorics of teaching, teaching researched writing, and assessing student writing in the college composition classroom. Additionally, we will focus on teaching the transition to college writing.
This class will also be practicum for developing teaching materials (e.g. syllabi, in –class writing assignments, invention activities, essay assignments, etc.).

3 Graduate Credits*: $375
First book provided. Minimal book fee may be required for a
second book.

*A $15 Registration Fee/semester and a
$2/credit D2L (Desire2Learn) Fee is assessed to all
undergraduate and graduate students each semester.
