Continuing Education in the Arts
Exploration, Expression, and Art for Youth
Youth, Grades 7-12.
In this six week course, students will build on their existing two-dimensional artistic skills through media exploration and by learning advanced problem-solving techniques. Exploration of media includes an introduction to: drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, writing, and bookmaking. Students will be encouraged to use their own ideas and personal experiences to incorporate a heightened level of expression into their work. The final class will be used to assemble all course work into the form of a book or “visual journal”.
