Teachers are being challenged to bring evidence-based practices to meet the needs of all students in alignment with the Wisconsin Common Core State Standards. Held in conjunction with the Wisconsin Mathematics Council's Conference, this course has multiple professional development strands addressing current professional issues in mathematics education that are aligned with the Common Core State Standards. It will focus on instructional strategies, including Response to Intervention and formative assessment techniques that support the learning needs of students. Course participants must attend two days of the conference keynote presentations and breakout sessions to receive credit, as well as complete additional assignments by January 30, 2013.

The tuition plateau does not apply to students enrolling in undergraduate or graduate credit courses through the Office of Continuing Education and Extension.
