Long-Term Care Leadership Development Workshops
Designed specifically for the long term care and health-related workforce, these workshops provide the leadership tools needed to build team work, improve communication, and increase the quality of caregiving. Interactive exercises, applications, and discussions teach supervisors to become more effective leaders.
Each workshop can be taken individually or enroll for the entire series and save:
April 3: Communication
More than the basics, this workshop helps you identify your own communication style and the styles of those you supervise. Using profiles, learners practice the skills that enable direct, respectful and effective communication within teams.
April 17: Problem Solving and Conflict
Conflict can interfere with quality care-giving and successful teams, reducing staff morale and efficiency. Conflict can also help clarify issues, encourage creative solutions and build competencies. What is your conflict style?
April 24 : Leadership
What type of leadership is needed within long term care? What leadership skills do you possess? What skills do you want to develop? Through self-assessment and analysis of the leadership potential of those you supervise, your unique vision of leadership will begin to develop. Leadership strategies in the face of change and resistance are emphasized.
May 8: Coaching and Mentoring Skills
Good coaches believe in their teams. They provide the necessary tools for each player to develop fully and remove obstacles that compromise growth. This workshop teaches the coaching principles that foster cooperation and collaboration. Participants will identify the specific behaviors of the mentors and coaches in their lives and apply them to current supervision challenges.
