PROGRAM INFORMATION Planning and Advisory Board members: Chris Brown, Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Linda Erickson, Bethany Lutheran Homes Mary Faherty, La Crosse County Human Services Sarah Havens, Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center Mary Ihle, Alzheimer’s Association Andrea Hansen, UW-La Crosse, Continuing Education & Extension Susan “Boon” Murray, UW-La Crosse, Therapeutic Recreation Beverly Ruston, Hillview Healthcare Center Sara Sullivan, UW-La Crosse, Psychology Instructors: Core courses and electives are collaboratively planned and taught by UW-L faculty and area professionals. Faculty from health education, psychology, sociology and exercise and sports science will lend their expertise. Area professionals from county human services, home health services, nursing homes, hospital based services and Alzheimer care centers join with faculty to create a dynamic, learner-focused experience. Employers: The Gerontology Certificate Program can be delivered at your workplace. UW-L’s office of Continuing Education will work with you to provide professional development that builds morale for your employees and improves quality of care for the older adult.
