Aging-Friendly Community Tour
Offered in partnership with the La Crosse County Aging Unit
Is the La Crosse area ready to meet the challenges and opportunities of our aging population?
How “aging-friendly” is La Crosse?
Join planners, providers, seniors and advocates for this guided tour: Do streets and crossings make walking easy? Which neighborhoods offer convenience and continued sociability for elders? What housing options exist when we need more support? How can we make our communities good places for growing up and growing old? This bus tour includes various stops, lunch and refreshments. Accessible transportation provided.
Participants are encouraged to visit the Web site www.agingfriendly.org to prepare for this program.
