Basic Wetland Delineation Training Workshop
This workshop introduces participants to the basics of wetland delineation fieldwork and the paperwork that needs to be filed. Lectures on vegetation, soils, hydrology and methodology prep participants for field work. Additional lectures on related topics are also included. This course should be taken once and is normally a prerequisite for the Advanced Wetland Delineation Training Workshop.
Participants will combine classroom instruction with field exercises taught by leading government experts in hydrology, vegetation, soils and wetland policy. This workshop is offered to engineers, planners, scientists, resource managers, local and tribal officials and other parties who deal with wetland delineation in Wisconsin. A certificate of participation and University of Wisconsin-Extension Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded to each participant. Participants will be added to a list of delineators, provided upon request, to federal, state and local officials.
