
Wetland Delineation Workshops
Professional Development Training

General Information:
Workshops are being offered to engineers, planners, scientists, resource managers, local and tribal officials, and other interested parties who deal with wetland delineation in Wisconsin. They combine classroom instruction with field exercises taught by leading government experts in hydrology, vegetation, soils and wetland policy. A certificate of participation and University of Wisconsin-Extension Continuing Education units will be awarded to each participant upon completion of each training session. Participants will be added to a list of delineators that is provided to federal, state, and local officials.
Basic Wetland Workshop fee is $545 and includes “Basic Guide to Wisconsin’s Wetlands and Their Boundaries,” wetland plant identification manual, plant and soil lists, keys, other program materials, use of field equipment, continental breakfasts, lunches, refreshments and certificate of participation. Advanced Wetland Workshop fee is $395 and includes use of field equipment, continental breakfasts, lunches, refreshments, and certificate of participation. Please bring your “Basic Guide to Wisconsin’s Wetlands and Their Boundaries,” and your wetland manual that were given to you in the Basic Workshop. The Basic Wetland workshop is a prerequisite for Advanced Wetland Workshop. (Limit:20)
Basic Plant Identification Workshop fee is $445 and includes continental breakfasts, lunches, refreshments, use of field equipment and certificate of participation. (Limit:16)
Basic Hydric Soil Identification Workshop fee is $445 and includes continental breakfasts, lunches, refreshments, use of field equipment and certificate of participation.
Critical Methods in Wetland Delineation Workshop/Wetland Regulations and Assessment Workshop fee is $99 and includes continental breakfast, lunch, instructional materials and certificate of participation.
The workshop fees do not include room and board or transportation costs.
