This workshop introduces participants to the basics of identification of grasses, sedges, and rushes; three graminoid families with species commonly found growing in wetlands and adjacent uplands.  Lectures on taxonomy, plant structure and use of appropriate plant keys for identification are provided with a mixture of lab and field work. It is preferable but not required to take the Basic Plant ID workshop prior to this one.  A certificate of participation and University of Wisconsin-Extension Continuing Education Units will be awarded to each participant.
