DES Reflective Practice Portfolio

The University of Wisconsin La Crosse (UWL) School of Education Teacher Education Program is designed around a Conceptual Framework that includes professional standards aligned with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) Teacher Education Standards. The Conceptual Framework for the University of Wisconsin La Crosse professional education program serves as a guide for fulfilling our mission of developing within its graduates a commitment to the teaching profession, a profound respect for the dignity of all learners, and the professional competencies that enable them to be effective teachers and responsible citizens in a diverse and dynamic world. 

Courses and field experiences for the DES Teacher Education Program are designed to address the 10 Wisconsin Teacher Education Standards (WTES) which are organized into eight categories that place Reflective Practice at its’ core.
