Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and EagleApps

As part of UW-La Crosse's compliance of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, students may withhold disclosure of information from the public.  As part of this, the university grants students permission to withhold "Directory Information" such as their UW-La Crosse names, addresses, telephone numbers, UW-La Crosse e-mail address, and other information as defined in the information provided here.

Students are able to set restrictions on the release of their "Directory Information" in their WINGS Student Center (under their Personal Information section), but this will not restrict your UW-La Crosse e-mail address from being listed in the EagleApps Global Address List (the built in e-mail contact list for the entire UW-L campus).
