Although many undergraduate students at the University of Wisconsin-La
Crosse choose to obtain a traditional, general biology degree, the Department
of Biology also offers four additional concentrations, each of which
is designed to more efficiently prepare students for entrance into advanced
programs in graduate and professional schools or for careers in such
specialized areas of biology as biomedical sciences, aquatic sciences,
environmental sciences and cellular and molecular sciences. To find
