Educational Technologies offers a full complement of satellite services as well as distribution and duplication of video programming from its facility in room 24, Wing Technology Center. With three steerable C/Ku dishes and two DBS receivers, educational programming from around the world can be down linked for duplication and distribution to classroom buildings and residence halls anywhere on the UW-L campus.
Featuring digital as well as traditional analog receivers, Satellite Services and Video Distributions is available to students and faculty alike. Video distribution and duplication formats include ½ “ VHS, NTSC-SECAM-PAL, ¾” Beta, DV and mini-DV, as well as DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW. Cable television service for the residence halls originates from the facility.
