Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Material safety data sheets (MSDS) are product safety information sheets
prepared by manufacturers and marketers of chemical products. MSDS contain
information on toxicity, first aid, personal protection controls, storage and
handling precautions spill and leak cleanup and disposal practices,
transportation, physical data and reactivity data.
Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available to UW- La Crosse employees
and students through the
following electronic resources. UW-La Crosse employees and
students who are not able to locate an MSDS electronically, can
request a copy by contacting the Environmental
Health and Safety Office, Graff Main Hall 235. UW-La Crosse does not
provide MSDS's to personnel who are not employed or enrolled for courses at
UW-La Crosse.
UW-L and UW-System Sites
- UW-System MSDS Database: This keyword searchable database
contains over 90,000 MSDS. (Accessible for
UW Employees and Students Only.)
- UW-La Crosse MSDS List: This
database contains an inventory of all MSDS available at UW-La Crosse.
UW-La Crosse employees and students can request copies of these documents by
contacting the Environmental Health
and Safety Office. UW-La
Crosse personnel who receive MSDS should send a copy to
the Environmental Health and Safety Office, located in
Graff Main Hall, room 235.
